Changing your password regularly is a good security practice. You should also change it if you think someone else might know it or if you've used the same password on other websites.
How to Change Your Password
Step-by-step instructions
Go to Account Settings
Click your profile picture in the top right, then select "Account Settings".
Find Password Section
Look for "Change Password" or "Security" in your settings menu.
Enter Current Password
Type your current password to verify it's really you making the change.
Create New Password
Enter your new password twice to make sure you typed it correctly.
Save Changes
Click "Update Password" and you'll be logged out to sign in with your new password.

What makes a strong password
Strong Password Tips:
- • At least 8 characters long
- • Mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- • Include numbers and symbols
- • Unique to RateAds (don't reuse from other sites)
- • Easy for you to remember
Avoid These:
- • Your name, birthday, or personal info
- • Common words like "password"
- • Sequential numbers like "123456"
- • The same password from other websites
- • Sharing your password with others
After Changing Your Password
What happens next
You'll Be Logged Out
After changing your password, you'll need to sign in again with your new password. This is normal and helps keep your account secure.
Update Saved Passwords
If your browser or password manager saved your old password, make sure to update it with your new password for easier login next time.
