How to Be a Great Community Member

Tips for positive participation

1

Write Helpful Reviews

Give specific details about what you liked or didn't like about an ad. This helps other people and advertisers.

2

Respect Different Opinions

Not everyone will feel the same way about an ad, and that's okay! Different perspectives make discussions interesting.

3

Welcome New Members

Help new users learn how RateAds works. Answer their questions and encourage their participation.

4

Keep Learning

Read other people's reviews to learn new ways of thinking about advertising and improve your own reviews.

What Happens If Rules Are Broken

How we handle rule violations

We want to keep RateAds friendly and helpful for everyone. If someone breaks the rules, here's what might happen:

  • First time: We'll usually send a friendly reminder about our rules
  • Repeated issues: We might temporarily restrict some account features
  • Serious violations: We may need to suspend or ban accounts that repeatedly cause problems
  • Illegal content: We report serious illegal activity to the appropriate authorities

Our goal is always to help people learn and improve, not to punish them. Most issues can be resolved with a simple conversation.
