Constructive Feedback Guide
How to give and receive feedback in a respectful manner.
Good feedback helps people learn. Mean feedback shuts them down. This guide shows how to share thoughts that help the ad creator and other readers.
Be Specific
Say what you noticed, not just how you felt. 'The audio was too loud at the start' is more useful than 'this ad is bad'. Specifics give the creator something to fix.
Lead with Strengths
Almost every ad does at least one thing well. Name it. Then move on to what could be better. This balance keeps your review honest and easy to read.
Receive Feedback Calmly
When someone reviews your ad, read the whole thing before you reply. Look for the helpful part, even in tough words. A short, polite response goes a long way.
Quick tips
- •Use 'I' statements: 'I felt confused' instead of 'this is confusing'.
- •Quote the part of the ad you are reacting to.
- •Skip sarcasm—it rarely lands well in writing.
- •End with one clear suggestion when you can.
