Anti-Harassment Policy
Our zero-tolerance stance on harassment and bullying.
Harassment makes people feel unsafe and pushes them away. We do not allow it on RateAds, and we act fast when we see it.
What Counts as Harassment
Harassment is any pattern of unwanted behavior aimed at making someone feel scared, shamed, or silenced. Examples include repeated insults, threats, doxxing, and stalking another user across our site.
How We Respond
When you report harassment, our team reviews the post within 24 hours. We may hide the post, warn the user, suspend the account, or ban them outright. Repeat offenders are banned for life.
Protecting Targets
If you are being harassed, you can block the user, hide their content, or ask us to limit who can reply to you. We never tell the harasser who reported them.
When to Call the Police
Some threats need more than a content review. If you fear for your safety, call your local emergency number. Our team will work with police on lawful requests for information.
Quick tips
- •Save screenshots before you block someone—they help us investigate.
- •Use the Block button so the person cannot interact with you again.
- •Tell a friend or family member if online harassment is upsetting you.
- •Remember: it is never your fault someone chose to be cruel.
