International Compliance
How we follow privacy and content laws around the world.
Members live in many countries. Our team works with lawyers in each major region to make sure RateAds follows local rules without breaking the global experience.
Privacy Laws
We follow GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California, LGPD in Brazil, and similar laws in Canada, Japan, and Australia. The privacy controls page works the same way no matter where you live.
Content Laws
Some countries restrict specific content—holocaust denial in Germany, certain religious speech in some Middle East countries. We use legal-region rules to follow these without applying them globally.
Tax and Payment Laws
Advertisers pay tax based on where they live and where their audience is. Our payment system handles the math and shows the tax line on every invoice.
Quick tips
- •Set your country in your profile to see local rules.
- •Review tax lines on advertiser invoices.
- •Reach out if a local law seems unmet.
- •Read our country-by-country notice for full details.
