Conflict Resolution

Steps for resolving disagreements within the community.

People will disagree. That is fine. What matters is how we handle it. These steps help two members work it out without making things worse.

Step 1: Take a Breath

Before you reply, walk away for ten minutes. A small pause helps you write a calmer answer. Most fights online start with a fast, angry first reply.

Step 2: Find Common Ground

Look for one thing the other person got right. Even small agreement lowers the heat. Then explain your view in plain language. Use 'I' instead of 'you'.

Step 3: Ask for Help

If you and the other person are stuck, tag a moderator. They can step in, hear both sides, and suggest a middle path. Most issues end here without bans.

Step 4: Walk Away If Needed

Some people will not change their minds, no matter what you say. Block them and move on. Your time is better spent helping members who want to talk things through.

Quick tips

  • Read the rules in full before you say someone broke them.
  • Never share screenshots from private chats without consent.
  • Save evidence in case you need to file a formal report later.
  • Take care of yourself—log off if a fight is hurting your day.
